About
Joseph Voska
Founder & Chief Compliance Officer
Joseph earned a B.S. in Business Finance from California State University, Sacramento in 2015. Before founding the firm, he spent more than a decade in mortgage lending — first as a loan processor at Bank of America, then as an underwriter at Accenture.
Underwriting is an unusual training ground for a financial planner, and a useful one. It is years of looking at how real households actually handle money: what the budget says versus what the statements say, which debts quietly sink people, and how much of a financial life is held together by assumptions nobody has checked. That work shaped how this firm looks at a balance sheet.

Why this firm exists
Most people who need advice cannot get it.
The advice industry is built around assets. Most firms set a minimum — half a million, a million, more — and below that line you are handed a product instead of a plan. The people who most need help deciding what to do with their money are often the least likely to be offered real help.
Voska Wealth has no account minimum. That is a deliberate choice, and it is the reason there is a fixed-fee option for people with smaller portfolios and a planning-only engagement for people who would rather keep managing their own investments.
The other half of the answer is how we get paid. We are fee-only, which means our compensation comes from the people we advise and from nowhere else. No commissions, no product sales, no payments from fund companies or insurers. When there is nothing to sell, advice is just advice.
