Services

Two ways to work together.

Still building

Financial Freedom Blueprint

Comprehensive financial planning, without handing over your investments.

A planning-led engagement for people whose retirement is still years out. You keep managing your own accounts; I build and maintain the plan around them — what to save, what to pay down, how to use your benefits, how to fund the things that matter without derailing the rest.

What’s included

  • Cash flow and debt management
  • Saving targets and goal funding
  • Employee benefits and equity compensation
  • College savings
  • Insurance and risk management
  • Estate planning review and coordination
  • Tax planning strategies
  • Investment analysis and asset allocation advice

What it costs

Year one from $5,000 — 25% due before work begins, the remainder across the following 11 months.

Year two onward from $2,400 per year, billed monthly in arrears.

Described in our Form ADV Part 2A, Item 4, as “Service Model 2: Ongoing Financial Planning Services.”

Approaching or in retirement

Retirement Income Blueprint

Investment management and comprehensive planning, together.

For the transition most advice ignores: turning a portfolio you spent decades building into income that has to last. I manage the investments against a written investment policy, and comprehensive financial planning is included at no additional fee — it is not a separate engagement or a separate bill.

What’s included

  • Everything in the Financial Freedom Blueprint
  • Discretionary investment management to a written policy
  • Retirement income and distribution strategy
  • Withdrawal sequencing across account types
  • Social Security timing analysis
  • Roth conversion analysis
  • Sequence-of-returns risk planning
  • Healthcare and Medicare cost planning

What it costs

Annual advisory fee by portfolio tier
Assets under managementAnnual fee
First $500,0001.25%
Next $500,0001%
Next $1,000,0000.75%
Above $2,000,0000.5%

Blended, not a cliff — each rate applies only to the portion of your assets that falls within that tier. Billed monthly in arrears on the average daily balance of your account.

With under $200,000 in investable assets, there is a fixed-fee option instead: from $5,000 in year one, then from $2,400 per year.

Described in our Form ADV Part 2A, Item 4, as “Service Model 1: Retirement / Pre-Retirement Wealth Management Services.”

True of both

The things that don’t change.

No account minimum

There is no minimum account size to open or maintain a relationship with the firm.

Fee-only

Compensation comes from clients and nowhere else. No commissions, no product sales, no payments from fund companies or insurers.

Fiduciary

A duty to act in your best interest, in writing, at all times — not only at the point of sale.

Your assets stay yours

Accounts are held at an independent qualified custodian in your name, and your statements come to you directly from them.

Reviewed monthly

Each month I review a different part of your plan, so it never falls out of date.

No long-term lock-in

Fees are billed in arrears and the agreement can be ended in writing. Full terms are in your advisory agreement and Form ADV Part 2A.

These are starting points, not rules. Which engagement fits depends on your situation rather than your age, and that is something we work out together in the first conversation. Fees are negotiable at the firm’s discretion, and lower fees for comparable services may be available from other sources.

Not sure which one fits?

That is exactly what the first conversation is for. It costs nothing and commits you to nothing.
